Tell us about how you became an AFI fan: A couple of my friends listened to them in elementary school, but I got into them when Girl's Not Grey was making its rounds on the radio. Come to think of it, that was still elementary school...too long ago.
How did you find out about this site/board?: Another fansite called Miseria Cantare, and most recently my real life buddy Oscar.
What's your occupation?: Student at the moment, but that's going to change soon with money running out.

I didn't expect this post to be so long. Sorry.
Back in 2007, a friend of mine registered an account in AFI Series message board. But since I was also a fan of AFI, she let me use her account to do stuff. (I didn't want to make a separate one, because I'm usually the loser who joins a message board and ends up making ca 10 posts after being a member for 5 years.).
So basically, we used her birth year, my birth
date, her (absolutely gorgeous) pictures, her everything. And usually she was the one who posted stuff. I made like.. 20 posts in total, I think.
But the thing is, Kristi (funny note - My name is also Kristi) kind of grew out of AFI and rarely even came here anymore, while I became more and more obsessed. So first I planned to leave "eitahaollamina" account and make a new one (with a pronounceable user name), but turned out that registrations were closed.
So what I'm doing now, is basically taking over this account, because I would really like to become a part of this community (and not be some ghost who just logs in once a month to see if someone has died).
It's almost impossible to explain it without sounding like a fucking psychopathic stalker.
I know most of you, board members, since I've been around for like two years.
Only you don't know me, but I really hope that it will change.
And I really really hope you accept me as a part of this community and don't find my deed disrespectful.
I also hope you understand what I was talking about. It's confusing as hell, i know.

Tell us about how you became an AFI fan: The girl that used to live across the street from me, Leandra, was four years older than I was. Her older brother was an avid fan, it was passed down to me. I've been a fan for about nine years now, a dedicated fan for six or seven.
How did you find out about this site/board?: I've seen it before randomly on google images when searching afi stuff and I've been here a few times to look at the vinyls. I never really even noticed the message board until the other day.
What's your occupation?: Full time student. I worked for a vet clinic for 2 1/2 years but quit recently due to scheduling conflicts. Actually, they were all just catty bitches.

Before I do the survey, I should mention that I'm
returning somewhat. I have a new found love for my teenage selfs favourite band, so yeah. I've been on the original board since 2004 and the board before that if I recall. I seem to be returning to "my roots" if you will. I don't know, there's something about coming back to something you were apart of years ago, which feels like a lifetime ago and at the same time feels like yesterday. All brought on by listening to Sing The Sorrow after a long long time.

Tell us about how you became an AFI fan: My best friend at the time had an older brother and I always was more interested in what he was doing while I would be visiting my friend. He played the guitar (very well I should add) and when he was out my friend and I would use his computer. I looked through his Winamp at one point and found A.F.I.
