Overall. Is CexCells an albums to dance to? Do you think that if danceclubs put it, people would dance?

Don't say you think some songs are, and some aren't. The question is overall. Contrast the ammount of songs you think are danceable compared to the undanceable ones, and post your reply.

For me, CexCells is not an album to dance to.

Well... I can pretty much dance to the whole thing, except for the uber slow ones (The Love Letter, Wake Up... and The Fear of...).

So yeah, it is danceable! Just not in a popular fashion.

I agree with Pablo. It's really not an album to dance to. There are too many slow songs, and even the faster ones are just not structured well for dancing. They're built too much like conventional pop songs to be dance tracks.

Take "Semiotic Love" for example. The chorus is upbeat and dancy. Everytime it comes around, it calls for intense, uninhibited ass-shaking. But in the verses, the song pulls back. The musical performance is restrained, and so you feel like your dancing needs to be restrained as well. It's a total mood killer.

In my opinion, this album as a whole will not get the dancefloor rumbling unless it's remixed.

It's also not an album to have "cex" to.

"Cex" maybe.

Dancing no. Not overall at least.
The end of Bitter For Sweet would just make for awkwardness, standing around.

Uhh.. For me - no. Though, there's some particular songs that i can imagine myself dancing to, but eventually - no. When i first heard this record, i didn't get the feeling like jumping off the chair and start dancing like a t0tlz wacko. So, no.

I listened to it on my headphones and was jumping all over the place, and so were my friends, so I voted yes. Not all of the songs are good for dancing, but the ones that are demand that you get up and do something.

I wouldn't be able to dance on most of the tracks here.

I guess I'm just comparing it to a lot of DJ's here in Miami, and this isn't close to comparing dance music overall, but it does have its dance songs.

I voted no.

I don't think so. I think there's a good deal of slow songs [or songs that wouldn't be good for a dance club.]

The dancey ones on their own would definitely be good to play though.

Probably to half the songs or more. The songs that are slower are a little hard to catch on to.

Can you dance to it? Yes. Dancing raver-style, not so much.
And you can dance to slower songs. Takes more creativity in most cases, though, but it can be done! I will vote yes. I can't wait to see reaction of the live audience.

I voted yes, solely for the fact that if you've been to a high school dance, there's stuff far less danceable playing at one than on this album. You could slow dance to the awkward songs, but the more lively stuff is great to fast dance to. Semiotic & Again x 3 are almost impossible NOT to dance to.
