I rarely listen to AFI but I have to admit I rarely listen to music in general in the past 2 years... a lot of things changed in my life after being away from home for 8 months and returning .... at work a music-tv-channel (a local one) is always on, so that's basically the only time I listen to music, at home I either read or watch tv series, so no active music listening, I kind of enjoy the silence a lot now (and instead of 40 concerts a year I go to 5 or so. , my life needs to change again!)

last.fm says I've listened to AFI 13 times in the last 3 months, 17 times in the last 6 months, and 56 times in the last year. So, no, I don't listen to AFI as much as I used to. Sooooooooo saaaaaaaaaad.

Oh Hai everyone. Just thought I'd swing by to put in my 2 cents and play some BMX or something. But yeah, I listened to AFI today actually during my workout... was a good change. Nothing from DU though... Never anything from DU anymore... But yeah, I'd say I give em a run once every month or so...

Man I haven't posted on here in years haha, what a topic to come back to. I don't really listen to them all that much anymore, I thought Crash Love was a decent pop record but DU is still shockingly bad. Black Sails/ All Hallows/ TAOD all get played a fair amount, but yeah nowhere near as much as when I was lke 14/15. I guess we all grew up and got jaded hahaha.

I'm not really jaded. AFI is still one of my all-time favorites. I've just discovered more music. I've actually taken quite a liking to Decemberunderground. Things change a lot.

I heard "Miss Murder" in the liquor store last night. Turns out the guy was an AFI fan...

Who'd o' thought?

So we sat there and drank beer and talked about them for an hour or so...

I still do love AFI but I just don't have time to put on a CD and just listen to it! The only time I really hear any AFI is through the Shuffle on my mp3 player when I'm at the gym, and it always brings a smile (although I don't have DU on it, haha). Kids in my classes ask what music I like and I get very enthusiastic educating them about AFI smile.gif I'm a different person to who I was when I first got in to AFI, but still... smile.gif

I'm not an obsessive buyer of AFI-related things anymore but I reckon if they announced a tour I'd go!

Hi everyone, I have not been here for years. I don't frequent any forums anymore. I came back to see how everything is going since I used to be here all the time.

I still do listen to some AFI every now and then from all eras. I usually shuffle my iPod. I still think they're great. I still wish they'd tour Asia someday. Things did change alot as all of us can see here. I listen to alot of other bands but nothing much of the new stuff. I still miss the AFI days when we used to be here all the time voting for them at the VMAs. Fun times.

Lately I've been listening them more, maybe once a week. After DU and CL I nearly stopped to listen them. But once in a while I find myself listening the old records. God I wish All Hallows EP was full album!

Man, it has been so long since I was last here. I kind of miss this place frown2.gif

I don't really listen to AFI much anymore. DU and CL didn't really have that special feel for me and I've grown beyond tired waiting for three year intervals to pass before they even begin to think of doing something. Instead I've gotten more into post-punk and goth rock over the last few years. I relate to it more than I do things like AFI.

This thread makes me so sad for some reason msncry.gif

Iíve been in and out of listening to them. I still adore them and the good they inspired in me. And I would absolutely buy whatever they create and would go see them live.

My tendency is to focus on one band or one musician at a time. For the last couple years Iíve been listening to a lot of J-Rock. Lately just BUCK-TICK. Interestingly enough, they have some of the same musical influences as AFI, so I suppose I was never that far away.

And I donít know some people here anymore! Have I REALLY not been here in four years!?

That's because it has been years!

I'll let STS play through maybe every 3-4 months, other than that I'll play a random song or two from the other pre-CL albums every few weeks. Comparing to how much I used to listen to them, it's almost sad to think that such a prominent phase of our lives is over. We've moved on though, but when we need to, the old songs are there to bring us back to those moments.

I do. Not on a regular basis though, more like once every month or so. To be honest, I kinda grew out of it, their new music wasn't as appealing to me as the "old stuff" was.
