If you download a video or audio file on this site, and you find that the video and/or audio is not appearing, please post the clip you are having trouble with, and I shall link you with the required codecs needed to be installed to play the clip.

Codecs are only very small files, that uncompress audio and video.

If you haven't already got it, then I suggest downloading DivX video codec. This is one of the most common video codecs available, and also covers a few other codecs.

1. I recently tried to change my avatar and the size (possibly) changed, but the image itself did not. What did I do wrong?

A: Your new avatar most likely did upload correctly, but your old avatar has been stored in your computer's cache which is where your computer looks first when trying to load images. To force it to load the new image, simply press F5.

whys the series all messed up why is no one on her anymore? what the hell happened to the series?

I've had a few experiences where threads won't load new posts. I cleared the cookies on this computer but it was still problematic. I almost closed a thread because I thought it was glitching as a result of the number of pages, but thought I should ask others first. If anyone else is having problems with some of the more heavily used threads, let me know.

Why won't it let me upload a new avatar? It just tells me upload failed. And it's in the requirements and everything!

So, my parent's computer runs incredibly slow and is always freezing. Since my laptop is currently being fixed, I have to use their piece of junk when at their house. There are so many registry errors, etc, slowing it down, that I can barely do any work on it. So, I'm wondering what program is the best for cleaning up the computer and fixing the errors? I used WinASO to scan the computer to see what errors there are, but I haven't registered the product yet (it's $29.95). I was waiting to see if maybe any of you knew of a cheaper product or if you have a better recommendation? It was my old computer that I had for nearly six years, so a ton of unfixed problems are now wreaking havoc! So, any help from you guys would be appreciated!

It wasn't just your computer... the site was down all day yesterday. Apparently my webhost was doing some housekeeping and snipped a nerve, so to speak. Once I discovered it I had to email them to get them to fix it; that took them a number of hours as well.

I just got this stupid computer yesterday and now windows explorer decides not to work. It immediately 'encounters a problem' on startup. I already tried relaunching it through Task Manager but it just fails again. It also fails in Safe Mode. I have no idea what the hell to do short of reinstalling XP, and the goddamned computer does NOT HAVE A DISK DRIVE.
I am so mad about this shit. I'd yell on the phone but the store is closed. D:

My Dreamcast will only play for about 10-20 minutes (30 MAX) before freaking out in a number of ways (glitching into oblivion/refusing to load/going to a blank screen but the music still plays/just going completely blank/freezing up/returning me to the main system option screen/etc.) At first I thought maybe it was the game (it had a few light scratches, but nothing that should warrant such behavior), but after trying all my games I've discovered that it does it with all of them. After the first 20-ish minute play before it freezes it rarely ever works again until at least an hour later.

This leads me to believe that maybe it's an overheating problem? The fan is working properly, as far as I can tell. Anyone know of something else that could be the problem? Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. I miss my Dreamcast

I just got a new laptop and I want to know how I can keep the battery life in it as good as it can be. My last laptop I way overcharged, so the battery would only last for around 10 minutes while unplugged. I don't want this to happen again, so if someone could give me some advice about how to keep this charged without overcharging, that'd be fab.

In case you hadn't guessed, development on the new site isn't coming along nearly as quickly as I had originally anticipated. I don't have an ETA for completion date as of now, but thought I'd post this for everyone who's been wondering. Sorry for the disappointment, but I want the next site to be good, not rushed.

So this isn't my problem, but I'm my girlfriend's family computer fix-it guy. Anyways she's been having a problem with her monitor where when the computer goes into sleep mode the monitor won't come back on, despite the fact that the computer is out of sleep mode. Does anyone know how I could fix it...like a n00bs guide to this. I've tried looking it up but they just tell me what could be wrong it and a complicated ALSKJAS ADSJFWEFDFIIRGA AWEFAEOIADSFA way to fix it.

How come whenever I try to change my personal photo or avatar it takes forever for it to actually SHOW that it's changed?

Maybe it's just me that can't see that it's changed, but I just changed my avatar and in the place that you go to upload a new one, it shows that it's changed but not in my profile or in my posts.

My PC is being such a bitch. It's caught at least two viruses over the past couple of months, and I just finished wiping the silly thing, and already it's giving me warnings for two other viruses that WebRoot refuses to quarantine, and I'm sick of it.

I've been thinking--this thing is a few years old, maybe it's time I get a new one, anyway.

So I'm going to get a Mac of some kind. Mostly so I can put Final Cut on it and edit various school projects and jazz. And I know there's some Mac people here, so you should totally lend me your opinion.

Right now I'm torn between a MacBook Pro and an iMac.

The portability of a Pro would be nice, but they're more expensive, and I'm not sure it's a feature I'd use overly much, anyway. And I heard that they stopped putting firewire ports in them, anyway.

The iMac wouldn't be quite so moveable, but it's still small enough that I could take it home for long weekends, if I wanted to. They're cheaper, and I think editing and Photoshopping would be easier on a desktop instead of a laptop. Does anybody know if they still have firewire ports?

I'm also pretty concerned about antivirus, since I keep getting screwed over time and time again by that sort of thing. I've got a few friends who have no antivirus stuff for their Macs, because there really aren't many viruses for Macs, but is this really okay? If I did manage to catch a virus on it, what are the chances of it being debilitating (vs annoying)? Would I be able to fix it without wiping the computer clean?

Also, I have a Zune--would that software work alright on a Mac, or would it keep trying to convert it to iTunes or something?

I keep on getting this virus. It's something like trojan.br!sv or something like that.
This bastard of a virus keeps coming onto my computer. All my mom could do was quarantine it. And then I got it THREE TIMES MORE after that.
I'm going to have my friend take a look at it, but in the meantime, is there a way I can block it. I'm going to cry if my computer gets fried.

So last night my computer died on me. And I have no idea why. It starts up and everything but it won't let me use any programs what's so ever. All they do is start and just shut them selves down. I was running windows vista. I tried looking for my reboot disk and I have no idea where they are. ): I am posting this from my blackberry because this is the only way of me getting on the internet right now. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this? q

OK, at first I thought it was just a little something, but now it's really starting to annoy me to an extreme level. I once downloaded one song off Metallica's black album and because it didn't want to give me the right album art, I decided to put on the album cover manually (i.e. by going to 'Advanced Tag Editor' and selecting the file) which was fine, it then came up with the right album art for that song.
But now, every time I have a file that isn't like 'offical' music (i.e. it can recognise itself what album it comes from), it comes up with the cover for the damned Metallica album This is particularly annoying when I'm listening to songs I made or rips and things which aren't on the album database. I know it's only an album cover but I like to have everything on my computer neat and tidy, and this most certainly is not.

And I've tried EVERYTHING. I've deleted the file off my computer, when I try to manually get rid of the album art, it doesn't show any picture files. I've tried showing hidden files in my album folders and nothing comes up. I've done EVERYTHING and STILL it comes up with the bloody METALLICA album, who I don't even like anyway!!!

If anyone can help me, please throw in a suggestion. I'm sick of having Metallica shoved down my throat when I'm listening to something completely different. I'm running the most recent version of Media Player by the way.

So I have Firefox, and I have it set to remember my passwords and keep me logged into sites, but for some reason it has recently stopped keeping me logged in. I'm especially annoyed at Yahoo Mail, because I keep checking the box "keep me logged in for 2 weeks", and yet it won't keep me logged in. And on Livejournal, it will have my username and password already entered, but I have to click the login button for myself, and I never used to have to. I've uninstalled and downloaded Firefox again, but I still have the same problem. I have gone into Tools - Options - Privacy - and I have unchecked "clear private data", but still, no luck. Anyone know what's up? Like I said, it only started doing this like two weeks ago, it's so weird.

Just how do I get rid of this crap. I am so not techni-savvy.

I just tried to post a thread in the Exclusive Downloads forum and it's showing up on the home page but not in the actual forum. When I click on the one on the home page it tells me "Sorry, some required files are missing, if you intended to view a topic, it's possible that it's been moved or deleted. Please go back and try again." Did I do something wrong or am I just going mad? I would have liked to share my rip with everybody

I am really starting to hate Norton Anti-Virus. It's screwing with my mom's computer and it costs a lot to renew every damn year.
Can anyone recommend me a good anti-virus/spyware program that you don't have to renew every year?
