So I was curious about something.....
I am really starting to hate Norton Anti-Virus. It's screwing with my mom's computer and it costs a lot to renew every damn year.
Can anyone recommend me a good anti-virus/spyware program that you don't have to renew every year?

I've got Kaspersky, and absolutely love it! I'm not sure if you have to renew every year or not, but it works much better than Norton does.

I use Panda Anti Virus, but I'm not sure if you have to renew it because I let my parents handle that.

Kaspersky is pretty damn good. NOD32 is also pretty high up there as well.

I've coped fine with norton so far, and it seems to keep my computer pretty safe. In my experience its not norton that messes with the computer but with someone messing with settings when they think they know what they're doing.

go for Kaspersky if you really want to change.

Well my mom's computer is probably from about 2004......it doesn't have the capacity to handle the new Norton and her other programs and data. I've never really liked Norton because it runs too slowly for me.
I have to go check out Kaspersky. :] Everyone seems to be recommending it.
